About the Role

As a Collection specialist, you'll have a pivotal role within our team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the collection efforts and engage with both internal and external contacts. An ideal candidate would be self-confident, well-organized, assertive, and adept at handling multiple sets of data simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Underwriting Billing and CS teams on delinquencies and renewals
• Perform and own the collection efforts via phone, email and IM.
• Monitor the portfolio daily to anticipate and prevent collection issues
• Monitor daily accounts receivable activity and payment risk exposure
• Negotiate and implement settlements of collection accounts
• Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting
• Work and manage external collection agencies on submitted files
• Performing back office and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations

About You

• Minimum 2 years of Credit and Debt collection experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
• Spanish Speaking (a Plus)
• Proven capability in loan account reconciliations and settlements
• Exceptional judgment, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficient problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Proficiency in navigating various digital platforms and tools for data analysis.
