Collections Specialist - Healthcare jobs in Petaluma, CA

Hiring Immediately Optio Solutions is seeking Collection Representatives to work in our Petaluma, CA office. We are currently accepting applicants and conducting interviews. Earnings potential of $41,600.00 - $60,000 annually (includes hourly rate and bonus opportunity).

The ideal candidate will have phone experience, good organization, communication skills and general computer knowledge. We provide ongoing training to ensure our Representatives have the tools for success. Previous collections, customer service and sales experience are welcome but not required. Bilingual is also a plus!!

Job Duties

• Make and receive phone calls in accordance with FDCPA guidelines, various regulatory agencies and state and local laws
• Negotiate and solicit payment arrangements
• Achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals as determined by Management
• Achieve established phone call requirements and established collection forecasts
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
• Ability to work effectively under departmental pressure/stress situations
• Performs other similar or associated duties as necessary to accomplish job objectives in an effective manner as assigned by Management or as responsibilities necessitate

Skills and Abilities

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Basic computer skills
• Solid verbal communication and negotiating skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, under pressure with strict deadlines
• Ability to cope and communicate professionally when dealing with stressful situations
• Maintain confidentiality as outlined in the company’s Confidentiality Agreement
• Work well independently and as part of a team
