Collections Specialist

Successful Collections Specialists are able to effectively serve as a subject matter expert for our members who are looking for solutions to their account problems. The ability to think critically and problem solve on the spot will be the most important skills that a high-performing Collections Specialist will possess.
Key Responsibilities
- Collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented department
- Providing customer service regarding billing and collection issues, process customer refunds, process, and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing refunds
- Accountable for reducing delinquency
- Enlist the efforts of upper management when necessary to accelerate the accounts receivables and collection process
- Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor
- High volume phone calls to assigned delinquent customers.
- Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due
- Internal and External customer interface
- Meet defined department goals and activity metrics
Job Requirements
- High School Education or equivalent and at least 1 year of customer service experience (hotel/resort guest service experience is a plus) is required for candidates to be considered for this position
- Equiant Software platform experience a huge plus
- FiveNine experience is a plus
- Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team.
- Be self-motivated and use time wisely.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
