POSITION SUMMARY:
The A/R collections specialist is responsible for insurance follow-up to ensure accounts have been appropriately billed and reimbursed. Duties include contacting assigned insurance companies to secure and expedite payments through the insurance follow-up and appeals process. Experience in patient accounting functions, including billing, follow-up, collections, patient concerns, cash application, and credit balance resolution preferred.
