    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Project Coordinator for the Office of the President provides comprehensive and
    confidential project support to the President and the Associate VP for Strategic Initiatives.
    This position will assist in the development of policies and procedures, provide research,
    planning and reporting support and serve as the liaison to the Board of Trustees, handling
    sensitive information, and serving as a key point of contact for internal and external
    stakeholder working with all areas of the university as well as the community.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • In collaboration with cabinet, develop and maintain institutional policies and
    procedures.
    • Oversee Enterprise Risk Management assessment and reporting; in collaboration with
    Police Chief, oversee emergency preparedness and response planning.
    • Oversee and coordinate special projects (which may involve programs, events, research,
    policy, or other areas) related to key strategic areas on behalf of the President and
    cabinet.
    • Conduct research and investigate new initiatives and best practices in higher education
    on behalf of the Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives; review and summarize
    articles and guidance documents and prepare recommendations to support decision
    making by University leadership
    • Write/present reports, briefings, proposals, position statements and presentations for
    internal and external distribution
    • Consult and collaborate with various offices within the University as well as external
    partners in the community.
    • Develop and administer tools and tracking sheets to organize workflows and projects
    • Assists with development and management of the budgets under control of the

    President's Office by maintaining budget records, allocating expenses, processing

    payment requisitions, producing financial reports and summaries, and approving
    expenditures.

    • Liaison to Board of Trustees
    • Schedule all Board of Trustees and Board committees’ meetings; secure meeting
    rooms/sites for in-person and virtual meetings; coordinate catering services
    • In collaboration with President and cabinet members, prepare and distribute all
    materials for board and board committee meetings
    • In collaboration with legal affairs coordinator and president, prepare all board motions
    • Attend all board and board committee meetings; take meeting notes; prepare meeting
    summaries
    • Assure that all board materials are correctly archived
    • Participate in internal and external workgroups, as needed
    • Other duties as assigned.



    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a related discipline is required, master’s degree

    preferred.
    • Knowledge/experience: At least five years of related administrative and project

    management experience is required which must include an extensive knowledge of
    research, planning, collaboration and execution.

    • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and through written correspondence as

    well as in communicating with individuals in one-on-one situations.
    • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and deal with a variety of complex and
    confidential issues and initiatives.
    • Attention to detail, adeptness with multitasking, and proficiency in MS Office
    applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, use initiative, and make
    substantive decisions quickly.
    • Ability to facilitate cross sector action teams in developing and implementing university
    wide action plans.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous assignments and multiple deadlines
    concurrently, and to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the initiative.
    • Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other

    cultures or backgrounds.
