Siena College seeks a highly motivated, compassionate, experienced and innovative leader with a commitment to its mission, rooted in its Franciscan tradition, as its next Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement (VPDAE). Reporting directly to the College President, the VPDAE will work closely with the other members of the President's Cabinet and the College's Board of Trustees and Board of Advisors to support and advance the College's mission and strategic priorities. The VPDAE will provide leadership in the areas of alumni engagement, foundation and corporate grants, stewardship and donor relations, annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, development marketing and development operations and research, and for implementing and executing an effective comprehensive fundraising and donor relation program, including the successful execution of comprehensive campaigns, that supports Siena's strategic initiatives.
The Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement will, among other things:
Annual salary range: $195,000 - $250,000*
A Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience are required. A proven track record of success as a senior development professional, including in a campaign environment, as well as a knowledge of best practices in all aspects of philanthropy in general is required. Experience in complex non-profit institutions, including in higher education, health care, or other non-profits is preferred. Possesses proven management skills and the demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a dynamic and synergistic department, excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects is required, as well as strong organizational and leadership skills, and a high level of initiative, energy and creativity.
A background screening will be required.
