    Job Description:

    Location: This position is remote/ hybrid-eligible, provided the candidate resides within the following markets: Santa Fe, Denver, Las Vegas, Dallas, Los Angeles or Florida.

    Compensation: Compensation for candidates based in Colorado is $156,340 - $220,440 and will vary based upon experience and other locations.

    This position is also eligible for a bonus of up to 20% of base salary. Bonuses are not guaranteed and depend on the successful achievement of pre-determined company and individual performance goals.

    Job Description

    The Vice President, Project Management plays a pivotal role in providing process and project leadership support to executive management, overseeing process implementation, risk management strategies, standards, estimating, and planning and scheduling, and contracts interface responsibilities across our entire project portfolio and Exhibition development. In addition to the project controls responsibilities, this role will also serve in a Project Executive capacity for assigned projects.

    Are you a dynamic and roll-up-the-sleeves development professional with seasoned experience in the themed entertainment, immersive arts or hospitality industries? Join Meow Wolf's project management team as Vice President, Project Management where you'll be responsible for supporting executive management and project teams with planning, scheduling, estimating, strategies, and ensure execution of processes for design, construction and show installation for new Exhibitions, as well as Sustainment and Expansion projects. Scope of responsibilities include:

    • Department oversight and leadership of Planning and Scheduling to include development/establishment of program/project schedules, show concept development, building construction, show production and installation

    • Department oversight and leadership of Estimating to include development/establishment of project budgets, design phase estimates, Cost trends and risk assessments, bid negotiation support, change order evaluations

    • Lead the process management execution on projects in support of the PM department requirements for forecasting and reporting

    • Provide project management leadership on assigned projects, including providing guidance to the project team leadership on risk management, cost forecasting, schedule assessment, and contracting strategies.

    Essential to the role is possessing strong interpersonal skills and bringing a partnership approach to planning with both internal and external stakeholders who range across all disciplines.

    How you will do it...

    • Project Controls - Ability to manage Project Controls for multiple portfolios ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Develop, implement, and maintain company Project Controls standards, guidelines, and tools that can be efficiently used on all projects. Lead the development and growth of organizational capability and competency in the project management practice of Project Controls. Establish scheduling and estimating standards to be implemented consistently across all projects.

    • Process implementation - Manage project processes over the project lifecycle with a focus on key performance indicators that allow for early detection and mitigation of project risks. Manage project gating process that memorializes project goals (cost, schedule, and scope), execution strategy and project risks/mitigations at key phases of the project. Ensure alignment with key stakeholders including functional leadership and the operating team leadership. Establish and deploy training programs for Project Controls over the entire range of experience levels, i.e. beginner through specialist level. Conduct audits of the project control system to ensure procedures are being implemented and followed and that the project reporting system accurately reflects the status of the project. Establish and implement formalized change management processes designed to assess cost and schedule impacts of scope change and obtain executive approval. Incorporate lessons learned into company procedures and tools. Provide support for estimating and vendor, GC, sub trade proposals to include bid schedules and project execution plans.

    • Provide Project Executive leadership on assigned projects where you will perform project management responsibilities, risk and mitigation management, mentor and guide project leadership team that is assigned to project.

    • Effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences (in person and in writing) with strong listening and presentation skills. Vet Project Controls personnel, procedures, and reports for adequacy and accuracy early in the project and through completion. Advise current projects with the potential need to change and assist with that change if necessary.

    To be successful in this role...

    • You bring 20 total years of proven experience in engineering/construction with leadership responsibility experience of a minimum 10 years in theme park development experience preferred.

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management is a plus

    • You have previously served in the capacity of Project Executive/Vice President on large scale ($100mm ) Creative lead projects that have complex interdependencies.

    • You have successfully managed a large project team that has both direct and indirect reporting structure.

    • You have managed and obtained permits on multi-discipline projects that have independent submissions.

    • You have managed indirect reporting of Creative project team members.

    • You have demonstrated knowledge of construction methods and planning and the ability to interpret design drawings and specs.

    • You have managed design from concept through buyout on projects that have a matrix structure.

    • You are effective in the early identification of design challenges and have the ability to find successful resolutions.

    • You are skilled in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations and to lead and facilitate meetings.

    • You are skilled in problem solving as well as anticipating changes within the project scope.

    • You are highly effective at-risk identification and developing mitigation strategies.

    • You hold excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, organizational as well as creative thinking.

    • This position can be remote based on certain approved locations and will require regular monthly trips to Santa Fe, NM where the individual will spend time working in the office. Additionally, occasional travel to project sites, in multiple locations may be required

    • This is a full-time position occasionally requiring flexibility to work during evenings or weekends and to travel to offsite locations, based on business needs.

    Work Schedule
