Your Role:
As a Food Preparer / Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, following recipes, and assisting chefs and cooks in creating delicious dishes. Your attention to detail, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and passion for food will contribute to the overall success of our culinary team.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting.
• Measure and portion ingredients accurately according to recipes.
• Follow established recipes and cooking procedures to maintain consistency in food quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Assist chefs and cooks in various tasks as needed, such as cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes.
• Monitor food levels and replenish supplies as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of food preparation tasks.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries of food and supplies.
• Wash and put away dishes
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

What You Bring:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• A passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow in a culinary career.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary or hospitality-related education or certification.
• Experience using kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and food processors.
• Familiarity with different cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special dietary needs.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.
