Uses multiple sources of information, including financial statements, collateral appraisals, credit scores, and cash flow analysis, to assign risk ratings to loans and complete an analysis of the applicant's financial status. Being a Commercial Credit Analyst calculates debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to evaluate an applicant's ability to repay the loan. Prepares credit memos in a standardized format that includes key ratios, supporting information, an executive summary, and objective recommendations. Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is interested in hiring a Commercial Credit Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to assume a role in the credit union’s commercial lending department. The successful candidate will be expected to assist the VP Business Lending Manager, Business Lenders and Chief Lending Officer by conducting in-depth financial analysis in assessing commercial businesses, collect and analyze information regarding the member’s income, assets, investments or debts, determine which credit structures best meet the member’s needs and financial circumstances, reviewing historical and projected data on member business loans/prospects and to use this information to prepare loan presentations for consideration. The Commercial Credit Manger will recommend approvals/denials for member business loans and help maintain credit quality through the ongoing analysis of the credit union’s existing loan portfolio, working closely with management to identify procedural issues and recommendation of corrective actions. The Commercial Credit Manager will participate in the promotion of a sales and service culture consistent with the credit union’s goal of exceeding expectations. This position will also manage, review and assist in training the credit analyst positions.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrable commercial credit analysis experience with advanced educational background preferred. A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is desired.
Candidates must possess excellent writing skills and be well versed in commercial credit analysis.
