Estimator - Commercial Roofing

New Philadelphia, OH

• Provide accurate and comprehensive estimates for commercial roofing projects with the opportunity to step into a leadership role as our estimating department grows.
• Read blueprints to understand the details and scope of each job
• Create detailed cost estimates and proposal letters for commercial roof installation, replacement, maintenance, and repairs
• Maintain strong relationships with our vendors and negotiate for the best possible pricing
• Review completed projects for profitability to learn how to build better estimates in the future and improve customer satisfaction
• Visit job sites to take additional measurements (if needed), inspect materials, or complete roofing surveys
• Support account managers by joining customer calls as needed to address any questions or concerns

We are looking for a commercial roofing estimator to join our team to provide timely, accurate estimates while staying on budget to ensure our company's profitability and customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for an efficient, detail-oriented individual with a roofing/construction background looking for a position with a growing company.

Our Ideal Estimator:

• Experienced: 2 years of roofing/construction estimator experience is preferred. We are willing to train a candidate with construction/roofing experience who is interested in stepping into an estimator role.
• Analytical: Ability to review notes, blueprints, vendor information, and pricing to compile an estimate that will result in a profitable project.
• Accurate: Strong attention to detail is required in this role, as mistakes can be costly.
• Efficient/Organized: Able to manage time well, set priorities, and complete tasks on time
• Collaborative: Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, customers, and team members
• Team Player: Self-less. Willing to put the needs and success of the team above themselves.
• Computer Savvy: Familiarity with Stack or similar estimating software programs is preferred. Strong Microsoft Office products knowledge (including MS Word, Outlook & Excel)
• Active: Although most of this position will be desk work, there will be times when you will visit job sites to take measurements or assess aspects of the job. This will involve climbing a ladder.
