Description
This position supports the Bank’s lending team by generating and reviewing requisite loan documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensures loan documents correctly reflect the Bank’s position as intended by credit approvals.
- Ensures loan document packages are complete and ready for funding and boarding including coordination with title and/or escrow companies for closing, obtaining pay off demand statements and obtaining appropriate insurance coverage, when required.
- Communicates with Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers for any additional information needed to prepare loan documents.
- Resolves any problems, issues or questions, both verbally and in writing, to ensure customer satisfaction and to maintain productive relationships with other bank departments.
- Orders third party data – Flood, UCC, IRS 4506-T Verification, judgment, etc.
- Coordinates loan closings with title companies and/or attorneys.
- Responsible for coordinating the collection, review and approval of due diligence materials.
- Coordinates and/or sends loan documents for recording (vehicle titles, Deed of Trusts, UCC liens, etc.).
- Performs loan funding functions (wire transfers, payoffs, invoice payments, etc)
- Identifies the applicability of HMDA, RESPA, TILA and CRA to loan transactions.
- Coordinates with branch staff for the establishment of customer accounts, escrow accounts, interest reserve accounts, and any other deposit product which may be required by the credit approval.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with third party vendors, attorneys, loan officers and borrowers.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- Minimum 3 years commercial loan processing experience within a commercial bank or equivalent experience with loan closing within a law firm or title company.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and attain proficiency with the Bank’s core system of products from Jack Henry (Xperience, Silverlate, Synergy) and nCino.
- Proficient knowledge of banking regulations, commercial and consumer loan requirements, and RESPA, TILA, HMDA, CRA.
- Proficient knowledge of LaserPro loan documentation software strongly preferred.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of real estate title matters, UCC regulations and guidance, insurance, legal documentation, organizational paperwork, vehicle titling/lien requirements.
- Proficient knowledge of commercial bank transactions, including real estate acquisitions, investment property and/or commercial refinance loans.
- Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and work independently or in a group environment.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
- Good working knowledge of transaction posting, general ledger, and basic accounting principles.
