Chadron Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Loan Officer to join our lending team. The Loan Officer will review and analyze loan applications and make sound loan decisions. The position requires knowledge of underwriting consumer lending products (vehicle and personal loans).

Job Responsibilities include:

• Analyzes loan applications and pertinent financial and credit data to make sound and consistent loan decisions within established policy, guidelines, and authorized lending limits.
• Conducts loan interviews and explains loan products and policies to credit union members.
• Evaluates applications for additional lending opportunities and cross-sells credit union products and services.
• Counsels members whose loans have been not been approved.
• Handles member inquiries and problem resolution. Researches accounts as needed and makes required adjustments in accordance with standard policies and practices.
• Completes reports and records promptly and accurately.
• Attends meetings as required. Is punctual and flexible with working hours.

Position Requirements:

• Associates degree in related field, Bachelor degree preferred
• 2 years’ experience in credit analysis and underwriting.
• Familiar with credit scoring and risk-based lending.
• Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of credit union loan services, policies, and procedures.
• Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards, and required loan documentation.
• Must be bondable

Pay: $37,440.00 - $49,920.00 per year
