Colson Group is currently seeking a Senior Buyer in our St. Joseph, MI location.  The Senior Buyer manages assigned items by generating, adjusting and expediting purchase orders based on MRP to ensure timely delivery to meet customer expectations. This role proactively analyzes and interprets information for planning systems and determines if process is in control.  The Product Specialist also makes day-to-day decisions that demonstrate a basic understanding of the financial business drivers; and works closely with Purchasing Manager to develop and implement department procedures and guidelines, processes and process improvements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Ability to quickly and accurately generate action requirements based on Planning System outputs.

2.  Lead or function as a team member on cross-functional teams to develop and execute new product.

3.  Tracks and monitors purchase orders, keeping team informed of any problems/delays and advertises any impact/constraints to the core team.

4.  Update daily Sales Orders Dates.

5.  Process DMR (rejects) by dispositioning material and coordinate with Accounting the issuance of debit memos to suppliers.

6.  Execute Engineering change notices.

7. Utilizing Epicor Buyer's Workbench follow up and confirm PO's on a daily basis.

8.  Achieves key purchasing metrics (Past Due PO; Unconfirmed PO; Excess Inventory; Non Stock Inventory; Stock Outs)
