Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Buyer to join our team in the Engineering industry. As a permanent member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process and developing relationships with vendors and suppliers. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that we have the necessary materials and supplies to meet our production needs. If you are passionate about purchasing and have experience in the Engineering industry, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and suppliers
• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies
• Work closely with engineering team to ensure that we have the necessary materials and supplies to meet production needs
• Develop and implement inventory management strategies
• Work with APICS and ISM to stay current on industry trends and best practices
• Monitor and report on supplier performance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
• 5 years of experience in purchasing
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of APICS and ISM
• Experience with purchase orders and inventory management
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
