Communications Director directs an organization's internal and external communications strategies and programs. Directs and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. Main Responsibilities
● Work with church staff and ministry leaders to define, develop, and effectively communicate messages church-wide and to the community
● Manage the First Church DeLand brand to ensure consistency, presence, and quality
● Cultivate, lead, and manage a team of volunteers as needed
● Work with First Church DeLand leadership and members to effectively communicate the goals and mission of First Church DeLand
● Oversee creation of original content and ministry branding
● Strategize and organize communications on all platforms in order to best serve ministry needs
● Provide communications resources for all campaign and special events as needed
● Develop ways to creatively and effectively communicate our church “stories” through all forms of media
● Write, adapt, and/or edit communications messages for use in various media
● Grow, develop, and instruct a team of presenters for video announcements, live welcome, and special events (as needed)
● Plan and Manage the operational budget for the Communications Ministry
● Others duties as needed by Pastor
