WHBQ-TV is looking for a Broadcast Director who will also produce content for FOX13 newscasts and all digital platforms. Applicants must be comfortable directing in a fast paced, live television environment and be able to oversee all technical aspects of a live broadcast, across all broadcast platforms. The applicant must be able to adapt quickly to changes and communicate clearly with staff and news management. The individual also must be willing and able to learn how to contribute content to FOX13 digital platforms. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

• Take an active role in the newscast, work alongside producers 
• Direct live news broadcasts through the use of Grass Valley switcher 
• Maintain the upkeep of production studio 
• Oversee and direct content for all FOX13 digital platforms 
• Transfer elements into Airspeed servers for playback 
• Recognize and be able to troubleshoot problems 
• Maintain a positive, cooperative and professional attitude at all times 
• Other duties may include editing, creating graphics, and assisting in all newsroom operations 

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

• Minimum of 2-year television news experience preferred 
• Knowledge of Grass Valley switcher and BitCentral preferred 
• Knowledge of Avid iNews  
• Live directing and/or switching experience and knowledge of switcher concepts
