DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Marketing & Communications will help sustain and promote a favorable image for Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC). S/he will identify avenues to achieve positive outcomes related to marketing, branding, and communications for the organization. This individual must be strategic, exceptionally organized, and demonstrate the ability to communicate with diverse groups in the community. S/he will work effectively with vendors, media and the public. S/he will ensure organizational materials, publications (digital and print), and press releases are accurate and consistent with the organization’s mission, vision and branding standards.
The Director is responsible for print, online and digital materials for BGCMC including, but not limited to the website, social media, program flyers/templates, informational brochures, e-newsletters, event collateral, sponsor recognition, and annual reports. S/he must have the ability to meet deadlines, be proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important.

COMPENSATION: $94,429,000-$110,000 based on qualifications and experience. Paid benefits package includes five weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, 12 days paid sick leave, medical, vision, dental, life and disability insurance and pension and 403(b) deferral options. Professional development opportunities are available contingent upon funding and approval. This position is classified as exempt and as such is not eligible for the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
