POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Communications (Position) is a position of the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (“OAHHS”) d/b/a Hospital Association of Oregon (“hospital association”) and Oregon Healthcare Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Apprise Health Insights. The person is concurrently employed by both the hospital association and Apprise Health Insights. The job duties are expected to primarily relate to the position with the hospital association. The Position is a member of the communications team.
Hospital Association of Oregon (90%): The Position reports to the Vice President of Communications of the hospital association. The Director of Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying the voice of Oregon hospitals, distilling complex policy information into compelling messaging and engaging with stakeholders across multiple platforms. The Position will work closely with the advocacy and policy teams to plan and execute events, forge relationships with key stakeholders, and monitor policy developments. Additionally, the Position will be responsible for crafting media materials, managing project schedules, developing, and executing communication plans and tactics, and championing the hospital association's brand, ensuring consistency and resonance with target audiences.
Apprise Health Insights (10%): The Position reports to the Vice President of Communications of Apprise Health Insights. The Position is responsible for crafting media materials, managing project schedules and developing and executing internal and external communications. The Position also champions the Apprise Health Insights brand and voice across various communication channels, ensuring consistency and resonance with target audiences.
