    Purpose

    This role manages internal communications and plays a pivotal role in formulating impactful communications for our internal audiences but ensures consistency across external communications messaging and tactics.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources this position is responsible for developing and implementing internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align, and inspire employees with Hyundai Motor America vision, business strategy and culture, and drives employees’ understanding and engagement on company’s priorities and key initiatives.
    • Develops a comprehensive plan and accompanying materials to foster / drive employee engagement, promoting firm’s commitment at every stage of an employee’s career.
    • Creates and produces regular employee communications in print and/or electronic formats as appropriate (including e-mail, employee portal).
    • Manages the production of compelling multi-media content as needed such as video, user-generated content or partnership with film crew, editors, or graphic designers.
    • Supports external employer branding strategy for recruiting purposes (i.e., LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and organization careers page).
    • Identifies relevant communication channels for multiple internal audiences.
    • Supports planning and execution of global company all hands meetings including event coordination and executive presentations.
    • Measures and analyzes internal communication tactics: open rates, article clicks, etc. and incorporating best practices in go-forward plans.
    • Actively contributes as a member of the Human Resources team.

    Education

    ~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
    ~ Must be a high school graduate
    ~ Master’s degree a plus

    Related Experience

    • Five to seven years of experience in communications, PR, or employer branding.
    • Automotive experience a plus.

    Skills/Knowledge

    • Ability to deliver complex and large scale projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent writer with a purposes and audience first mindset.
    • Visual storytelling skills through various tactics such as video and PowerPoint. Understanding or experience with video production.
    • Fluency across social media and other communication channels to relevantly promote the employer brand.
    • A self-starter with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with speed, flexibility, and adaptability.
    • Analytical and technical skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
    • Excellent \interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization.
    • Outstanding judgment, proactive problem-solving abilities.
    • Advanced skill level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Poppulo, video recording and editing.
