Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a staff of editors who write, prepare, and review content to be used in company publications. Helps develop, maintain, and implement editorial policies and standards and ensure conformance. Being a Communications Editor Supervisor oversees and reviews the team's work product. Monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Additionally, Communications Editor Supervisor manages project tasks and timelines. Manages the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Summary:
Receives incoming calls for police and security services, dispatches officers as appropriate, and monitors police radio alarms. Documents police and security service requests in an electronic records management and dispatch system. Operates National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer, a computer aided mobile dispatch system, and an ACU 100 interoperable radio console. Along with the dispatcher duties, the Dispatch Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining the records of the department, providing in-service training for employees on dispatch, records and campus safety related topics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
High school diploma or GED
AND
Three years of law enforcement dispatching OR
Five years of a combination of experience from the following areas:
