LEGACY MOTOR CLUB™ is a professional motor racing club fielding two full-time entries in the NASCAR Cup Series for John Hunter Nemechek and Erik Jones. The Club is based in Statesville, N.C, and co-owned by entrepreneur Maury Gallagher and seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson. NASCAR Hall of famer Richard Petty “The King” is a Club Ambassador.

LEGACY Motor Club is currently seeking a creative and experienced Video Editor who possess exceptional skills in editing, motion graphics, and sound design, along with a deep understanding of various video platforms and formatting requirements. This role will involve working on a variety of projects, including race highlights, promotional videos, and podcast editing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced editing techniques including masking, tracking, logo animation, and color grading to enhance the visual appeal of our videos.
• Create captivating motion graphics and visual effects to elevate the quality of our content.
• Collaborate closely with our creative team to ensure a cohesive and engaging storytelling approach.
• Edit and enhance podcast recordings to deliver polished audio content.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our video content.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in video editing, preferably in the motorsports or sporting industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is essential. Blender is a plus.
• Strong understanding of masking, tracking, logo animation, color grading, and sound design techniques.
• Ability to create compelling motion graphics and visual effects.
• Familiarity with YouTube, Vimeo, and various social media platforms, including formatting requirements.
• Experience in podcast editing is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Capable of operating a camera as well as setup and breakdown of production equipment
• Editing assessment will be required for chosen candidates

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 100 pounds when necessary for equipment setup and breakdown.
• Stand or sit for long periods of time during editing sessions and on-site shoots.
• Withstand varying weather conditions including cold, rain, wind, and heat related to on-track elements.

Travel: Up to 10 - 15 weekends (per NASCAR schedule) in addition to possible travel for partner meetings, conferences, appearances, media obligations, and production shoots. Hours vary, including some weekday nights and travel includes weekends (Friday – Sunday).
