Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a staff of editors who write, prepare, and review content to be used in company publications. Helps develop, maintain, and implement editorial policies and standards and ensure conformance. Being a Communications Editor Supervisor oversees and reviews the team's work product. Monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Additionally, Communications Editor Supervisor manages project tasks and timelines. Manages the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Communications Editor Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Bay Medic Transportation is rapidly expanding and growing company in the Northern California Region and is looking forward to expand our communications division.

    Excellent customer service, communication, professionalism, the ability to multitask and learn quickly will be the top priorities for this position.

    He/she shall be responsible to operate tracking system, radio or cell phone communication equipment to monitor the status of field personnel and units.

    Primary Daily Duties

    · Receive and prioritize all incoming requests for dispatch.

    · Efficiently dispatch units to emergency and non-emergency calls in a timely manner.

    · Demonstrate the ability to make accurate moment to moment decision making in regard to the dispatch of emergency and non-emergency vehicles.

    · Obtains required information from party requesting transport.

    · Maintain professional telecommunication contact with field units and other agencies.

    · Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the dispatch system, land lines, and all portable radios.

    · Participate in training programs as required.

    · The dispatcher will perform other related tasks and duties as assigned by the Dispatch Supervisor.

    The individual in this position must possess the following qualifications

    · Additional Pay upon completion of or submitting your Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification

    · Excellent ability to communicate and work cohesively with customers and field personnel.

    · Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external customers.

    · Must have computer competency including proficiency with and current Dispatch Software.

    · Must have the ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.

    · Highly dependable and ability to meet internal deadlines consistently.

    · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    · Flexible and adaptable, willing and able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

    · Must have the ability to work independently as well as in groups.

    · Ability to maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.

    · Be able to function in a high-stress environment where the work goes from minimal to overload within moments.

    · Must have a mature, courteous, and decisive nature in order to provide maximum customer service.

    · Must be able to type at least 40wpm

    Education Requirements:

    · High school diploma or equivalent
