The Role
Identifies and develops new Small business and Enterprise sales opportunities, provides product solutions, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company. Introduces company products and services to new and/or existing customers. Responsible for the implementation of strategic and tactical sales account plans. Develops and maintains accurate sales and/or revenue forecasts and management of quota funnels.
The Main Responsibilities
· Develops and manages relationships with new and existing customers in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, attain additional business, and retain existing revenue. Develops action plans to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company.
· Prospect daily for new customers.
· Identifies, bids on, and closes new sales opportunities in order to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas. Provides account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts.
· Demonstrates knowledge of the company's entire product suite.
· Attend Chamber events.
Basic Qualifications
What We Look For in a Candidate
· 3 years of Telecom sales experience.
· Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
· Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
· Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional.
· Requires at least 50% or more of the time conducting sales activities outside of the office.
· Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge and understanding of the telecom/technology industry's competitive landscape.
· Knowledge of Fiber Optics (LIT and Dark), ADSL, VDSL, SIP Trunks, and Managed Services.
· Knowledge of PBX Voice a big plus.
