Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Position prefers at least one year of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field. For safety reasons, the position requires the ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
Equipment Requirement
Required to wear back support belt, goggles when working with specific equipment, masks and gloves and other safety equipment as tasks dictate.
Licenses
EPA certification Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Driver's License is required.
Equipment/Machinery and Tools: An associate in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the following tools:
Hand Tools: Various wrenches, hammer, grips, saws, sledgehammer, snips, posthole diggers, etc.
Power Tools: Wrenches, grinders, sanders, drills, saws, etc.
User Mover Aids: Wheelbarrows, dollies, hand trucks, buckets, hoists, jacks, step ladders, full ladders, double ladders.
Mechanical Equipment: Motors, pumps, refrigerant recovery equipment, compressors, blowers, electric and hand powered augers, etc.
Measuring Devises: Calipers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, testing meters, PH tests, gauges, etc.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on specific needs of the day. Estimate 66% to 100% of the time.
