Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     The Developmental Therapy Center is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as the Director of Community Relations and Fundraising. This role plays a vital part in advancing our mission by maintaining all social media outlets, coordinating and executing fundraisers, and establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners.

    Overview:

    The Director of Community Outreach and Development plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of DTC. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for organizing events and fundraisers, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors, promoting DTC's services, and engaging in public speaking engagements. The Director of Community Outreach and Development will also be involved in grant writing efforts, with a focus on securing additional funding to support our programs and services. This position requires excellent organizational skills, outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage all social media platforms to engage with our community and promote DTC's mission and programs.
    • Coordinate and execute all fundraising events, including securing venues, caterers, and entertainment, as well as overseeing event setup and logistics.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing community partners to expand DTC's network and support base.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments on community engagement initiatives to enhance DTC's reputation and credibility within the community.
    • Conduct face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, and other outreach efforts to secure donors and sponsors.
    • Utilize grant writing skills to pursue funding opportunities and support DTC's programs and initiatives.
    • Work closely with and report to the CEO of DTC to align fundraising and community relations efforts with organizational goals and strategies.
    • Set and achieve measurable goals, such as increasing donations by [specific percentage or dollar amount] within a designated timeframe.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate DTC's mission and impact effectively.
    • Proven experience in fundraising, community relations, or related fields, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in computer applications and social media platforms.
    • Grant writing experience is a plus.
    • Passion for serving the community and advancing the mission of DTC.
