Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. BASIC FUNCTION :
The specialist provides employment and training services to individuals who may be dependent upon public benefits, have disabilities, be un-employed, under-employed, or have other barriers to employment.
These services include individualized career services, career planning to include training, employment counseling and post employment follow-up services.
WORK PERFORMED : Meets with individuals who have employment and / or training related goals.Assesses individuals for their education, employment history and other barriers to employment.
Offers job search assistance and labor market information.Regularly meets with program participants to provide them with employment leads and to assist with their job search efforts.
Researches career objectives using data and information provided to help customers make educated choices.Counsels and assists clients in solving problems to remove barriers to employment.
Makes referrals to partner agencies as needed.Completes all required data entry and case management notes in a timely manner.
Conducts workshops, contributes articles and customer information to website, attends job fairs, etc.Performs all other duties assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EQUIVALENT EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED :
Bachelors' degree
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
One year personnel, guidance, sales, or social work experience. Master's degree in these areas will be accepted in lieu of experience.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :
INCIDENTAL REQUIREMENTS :
N.Y. State Driver's license. Personal automobile for company business use.
