Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Contract Data Compliance Specialist

  • JOB SUMMARY: The Contracts Data Compliance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining contract compliance and performance by researching and communicating requirement, coordinating approvals and the collection, and tracking and reporting of client data in various database management systems.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Essential Functions: Data Coordination, Analysis & Reporting

    • Manage the collection and recording of all client statistics from all programs.
    • Produce monthly & quarterly statistical reports using the agency database and advanced Excel formulas and filtering tools.
    • Coordinate the writing of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, write, and collect narratives from program staff and assemble the final report.
    • Work with program staff to develop and revise data collection tools such as intake sheets, sign-in sheets, etc.
    • Manage data entry work for the agency database and Excel database systems on a weekly basis.
    • Generate reports and program statistics for proposals and customized reports at the request of other managers.
    • Write up and /or update procedures and policies in conjunction with meeting these deliverables.
    • Provide audit information to management by researching and analyzing internal and external data. Support departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with auditors and various departments. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
    • Provide administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies; completing projects in support of compliance auditors.
    • Enforce adherence to requirements in contract and advises management on needed actions.
    • Under supervision of the Contracts Data Compliance Supervisor, direct the work with program staff to develop and revise data collection tools, policies and procedures such as intake sheets, sign-in sheets, etc.
    • Generate reports and program statistics from both HMIS database and internal databases for proposals and customized reports at the request of managers.
    • Prepare reports using advanced Excel formulas and filtering tools.
    • Other tasks as assigned, including but not limited to accounting functions. Act as back up to Contracts Data Compliance Supervisor, as needed.

    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; or in place of a degree, five (5) years of relevant experience.
    • Three (3) years of professional accounting, auditing, analytical or similar work experience required.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the full life cycle of contracts and grants required.
    • Some experience with government online systems and reporting. Administering Homeless, Domestic Violence, City of Oakland, Alameda County, and HUD contracts experience preferred.
    • Social service background a plus.
    • Attention to detail.
