Community Development Compliance Specialist jobs in Omaha, NE

Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Oversee, track, and measure system while maintaining knowledge of latest technology developments. Install and configure hardware equipment and software programs. Perform troubleshooting and execute needed repairs. Address all maintenance activities including improvements and updates when needed. Promptly provide support to staff with IT related issues when requested. Ensure IT standards are being upheld and departments are running effectively. Correlate with management plans to make appropriate IT improvements. Design, plan, and execute training on the use of systems and networks. 


    Primary Responsibilities

    • Assessing a company’s information system and identifying gaps that need to be addressed.
    • Ensuring all systems run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Ensuring security and privacy measures are in place.
    • Monitoring security certificates and ensure the organization’s compliance with requirements.
    • Troubleshooting and providing technical support to the company staff whenever needed.
    • Installing necessary updates to company software and hardware.
    • Staying within budget and allocating cost for necessary updates and upgrades.
    • Assists with product evaluation, selection, deployment, and use.
    • Provides setup, deployment, and support of mobile devices.
    • Monitors on-site IS Systems, including backups, UPS, and server/network equipment.
    • Provide remote support for facilities and associates.
    • Maintain, support, and configure facility devices (Printers, RF Units, Terminals, etc)

    Requirements

      

    Required

    • Knowledge of development and application of technology in the current and future business environment; emerging technologies and their applications to business processes; policy development; and applications and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.
    • Ability to research and identify best practice methods and processes to identify current and emerging trends in technology and recommend appropriate courses of action.
    • Skilled in different types of computer hardware, software, peripherals and components, networking protocols and communications. 
    • Keen interest in technological development and advancements
    • Ability to suggest process improvements.
    • Previous work experience with EMR in a healthcare setting for 1 year or more i.e., Cerner, Epic & etc.
    • In-depth knowledge of different IT systems, databases, and applications.
    • Hands on experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex IT issues.
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, and leadership skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and time management.

       

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT or similar field.

    • Always maintain patient confidentiality.
    • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety, and infection control.
    • Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations. 
    • Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner. 
    • Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
    • Must be able to travel - including flights and long drives to projects.
    • Must be able to remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
