Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. As our partnerships continue to grow, so do our opportunities. We are seeking a dedicated, highly motivated Compliance Specialist to join our team!

    Position Overview:

    The Compliance Specialist will oversee and coordinate all aspects of VP Racing’s product compliance initiatives. This role ensures that all products are compliant with relevant safety standards, possess accurate safety data sheets (SDS), and have labels adhering to the regulations of all destination countries. The specialist will need to coordinate internal compliance needs with our external compliance consultants to generate SDS's, labels, and any other regulatory requirements that may pertain to our products.  


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • SDS, Label, and Spec Sheet Management: Collaborate with the legal department, Director of R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to coordinate the preparation and updating of SDS's, labels, spec sheets, and other product materials ensuring they adhere to all applicable international, federal, state, and regional regulations.
    • Regulatory Monitoring and Compliance: Stay updated with changes in both domestic and international compliance requirements, which include, but are not limited to, OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, DHS security plan, REACH, GHS, CPSC, SWPP, and SPCC. Ensure appropriate record-keeping.
    • Product Compliance: Partner with the product development, R&D, purchasing, and marketing teams to ascertain the compliance of both new and existing products.
    • Reporting and Meetings: Regularly report on compliance status, highlighting potential risks and providing solutions. Coordinate, facilitate and lead compliance meetings on a regular basis.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with external stakeholders, including partners creating private label products, regulators, and customers, to navigate compliance-related inquiries and challenges.
    • Shipping Compliance: Collaborate with the International shipping departments to guarantee that products adhere to all destination country regulations. 
    • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement enhancements to refine internal compliance procedures.
    • Team Coordination: Oversee, back up, and train in tandem with the Regulatory and Compliance Lead. Participate in company meetings and perform other related duties as necessary.



    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Self-starter with high degree of motivation, able to work autonomously and with a team.
    • Ability to meet tight timelines and can work in a fast-paced environment.  
    • Detail oriented and can interpret/analyze data. 
    • Must be highly efficient with strong organizational skills. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, managers, across all levels.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of company matters.
    • Must possess strong communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Valid Driver’s License required.    

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's in business administration, or a related field is preferred. Industry certifications or relevant on-the-job experience is acceptable.
    • Minimum of 3 years in regulatory compliance or project management is preferred. Experience in the chemical or fuel sector strongly preferred, but not required.

    Work environment:

    • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend and move about the facility.
    • May be required to sit for extended periods of time.
