Community Development Loan Officer oversees the bank's CRA Programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal Community Reinvestment Act banking regulations to meet the credit needs of the area's low to moderate-income populations. Serves as the subject matter expert of CRA laws, rules, and regulations by maintaining a deep and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, proposed legislation, and announcements. Being a Community Development Loan Officer reviews and analyzes lending activity data and practices to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Develops, implements, and administers the overall corporate CRA plan and localized or remedial plans with guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Additionally, Community Development Loan Officer advises management and coordinates with legal staff on the potential impact of actions. Coordinates and delivers reports to bank leadership and regulatory agencies. Ensures the bank has a positive and visible role in community economic development activities, events, and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Loan Officer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Develops new and expands external referral sources to grow mortgage business.
    • Manages partner Credit Union mortgage referral business.
    • Provides excellent customer service from approval through closing, working closely with loan origination sources to secure and verify all information required for underwriting.
    • Responsible for maintaining client relationships.
    • Make in-person calls on real estate agents, financial advisors and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads.
    • Meet monthly production goals.
    • Maintain compliance with all industry-specific state licensed activity requirements.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    • Must have a well-established book or realtor contacts.
    • Ability to work independently and to quickly connect with people in an outgoing and friendly manner.
    • Persuasive, selling communication skills.
    • Strong sense of responsibility for completing work quickly and accurately.
    • Ability to handle faster-than-average pace of activities.
    • Detail-orientation with efficient focus on work activities.
    • Careful decision-making skill with ability to avoid mistakes.
    • Must possess excellent follow up skills.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment: May lift up to 25 lbs.; Office work- must be able to use a PC and phone; hearing and sight are required to perform this job; may need to sit or stand for long periods of time in front of a computer. Must have a valid driver’s license to travel between branch locations and develop business in the community.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
