Community Development Loan Officer oversees the bank's CRA Programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal Community Reinvestment Act banking regulations to meet the credit needs of the area's low to moderate-income populations. Serves as the subject matter expert of CRA laws, rules, and regulations by maintaining a deep and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, proposed legislation, and announcements. Being a Community Development Loan Officer reviews and analyzes lending activity data and practices to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Develops, implements, and administers the overall corporate CRA plan and localized or remedial plans with guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Additionally, Community Development Loan Officer advises management and coordinates with legal staff on the potential impact of actions. Coordinates and delivers reports to bank leadership and regulatory agencies. Ensures the bank has a positive and visible role in community economic development activities, events, and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Loan Officer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Dieterich Bank is looking for a Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Lake Sara Branch while serving as the mortgage loan contact for our St Elmo Branch. This would require travel to St Elmo one day per week and on an as needed basis, but with majority of time spent at Lake Sara. The Mortgage Loan Officer will develop relationships and solicit business from current customers, referrals, and walk-in customers. This position will accept the application, grant approval, and process and originate mortgage and consumer loans for the Bank. The objective is to assist borrowers in evaluating their opportunity to borrow money to invest in a home.
A day in the life of a Mortgage Loan Officer:
As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you'll play a crucial role in building business relationships and acquiring customers through networking efforts, leveraging your sales expertise to promote our products effectively. Your daily tasks will include analyzing applicants' needs, financial standings, credit profiles, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
Furthermore, you'll educate customers about the various loan types and credit options available, ensuring they understand the terms and conditions associated with our services. Serving as the primary point of contact, you'll address any inquiries or concerns raised by customers promptly. It's also essential to remain current with evolving laws and regulations governing the mortgage industry to maintain compliance and provide top-notch service.

Work Schedule:
This position requires 40 hours each week with work typically being completed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Evenings and weekends may be necessary to fit customers' needs and/or complete work. Travel to meet with clients at their convenience and location will be necessary.
