Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business and Community Development Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to support the growth and success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for community engagement and development.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Develop, plan, and implement monthly events to engage the community and promote our organization's mission.

    2. Create and manage a monthly newsletter to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming events, achievements, and updates.

    3. Upload blogs and other content to our website to showcase our work and engage with our audience.

    4. Write grant proposals and manage the grant application process to secure funding for our programs and initiatives.

    5. Serve as a substitute teacher as needed to support our educational programs and initiatives.

    6. Plan and execute fundraising events to generate revenue and support our organization's financial sustainability.

    7. Conduct surveys among parents, teachers, and students to gather feedback and improve our programs and services.

    8. Make prospective donor calls and maintain relationships with existing donors to secure financial support for our organization.

    9. Brainstorm, solicit, and schedule audiences for presentations to raise awareness about our organization and its impact.

    10. Create and schedule all social media content to engage our online community and promote our events and initiatives.

    11. Review and analyze website analytics to track performance and make data-driven decisions to improve our online presence.

    12. Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote our organization and attract new supporters and stakeholders.

    13. Create and maintain an internal resource tree to streamline communication and access to important resources and information.

    14. Work closely with the Board of Directors on employee contracts, human resource concerns, payroll, leasing, building management, and financial management.

    15. Coordinate with our accountant on matters such as accounts receivable, invoice setup, and budget reviews.

    16. Assist in the preparation and review of the annual Form 990 with our accountant to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications:

    - Proven experience in business and community development, fundraising, grant writing, and event planning.

    - Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

    - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

    - Proficiency in social media management, website analytics, and marketing strategies.

    - Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles.

    - Experience working with boards of directors and nonprofit organizations is a plus.

    - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    - Commitment to our organization's mission and values.

    - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience.
