Community Development Manager jobs in Gastonia, NC

Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities:

    • Identify and target new business opportunities to expand our licensee base.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve growth objectives.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends and potential growth areas.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key licensees, understanding their needs and providing remarkable customer service.
    • Collaborate internally to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and brand materials.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and promote our brand.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
    • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track progress and evaluate performance.
    • Follow up on leads, inquiries, and requests for information.
    • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field is required ( 7 years).
    • Strong understanding of construction and development processes.
