Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Join the Head Start teaching team in a teacher assistant-type position in facilitating many classroom activities such as field trips, lesson planning, and classroom maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of the Head Start classroom and start a career track to becoming a Head Start Teacher. This position may also assist in the kitchen, bus, or other areas of operation.
As a minimum requirement, ideal Applicant should have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential. Applicant’s able to be enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or a CDA credential program to be completed with two years of the time of hire will also be considered. Tuition assistance provided in most cases.
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 Hours per Week, Monday – Friday, Weeks 38 Weeks per Year
