Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. HOA Assistant Community Manager

  • Planned Development Services is currently seeking an experienced HOA Assistant Community Manager for our Glendale office. As an Assistant Manager you will be performing the following functions:

    • Answer heavy incoming phone calls from homeowners regarding violation letters and community concerns/questions
    • Process architectural requests and appeals
    • Print and mail violation letters
    • Compose meeting postcards and special notices for communities
    • Respond to voice mails and emails from homeowners
    • Assist HOA Community Managers in preparing for monthly and annual board meetings
    • Submit work orders to vendors
    • Work with outside vendors by obtaining bids for service and scheduling appointments
    • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence
    • File documents in scanned docs paperless filing system
    • Other misc. duties as assigned by manager

    Skills/ Requirements

    The perfect candidate would possess the following:

    • Effective communication skills
    • Exceptional phone skills
    • Excellent organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
    • Ability to handle high volume workloads
    • Must be able to adapt to constantly changing work duties
    • Positive and professional attitude
    • Previous employment with HOA Management Company and prior experience in TOPS and SmartWebs software is desired but not required
    • Bilingual is a big plus
