Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in driving regional sales growth, expanding market presence, and nurturing relationships with municipality and contractor customers. This position requires daily travel within the designated region, active participation in regional trade shows and events, and strategic planning to achieve sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Regional Sales Development:
    • Identify and target potential customers within the assigned region, including municipalities, construction firms, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and achieve revenue objectives.
    • Trade Shows, Events, and Marketing:
    • Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to showcase our products and services.
    • Engage with prospects, demonstrate product features and benefits, and generate leads.
    • Collaborate on marketing ideas to create engaging promotional materials and presentations for events.
    • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
    • Understand customer requirements, provide product recommendations, and offer tailored solutions to address their needs.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, delivering exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
    • Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with the internal team on sales, marketing, and product development, to optimize sales efforts and address customer feedback.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market developments using CRM software.
    • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates while working closely with the owner of the business on pricing and go-to-market strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the traffic signage, construction, or safety industry.
    • Understanding of traffic regulations, safety standards, and signage requirements is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
