Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Family and Community Partnerships area of the Head Start program plays an integral part of the larger system of services provided by Head Start and plays an important part in supporting the goals of the program. This position is responsible for oversight and development of systems to provide opportunities and support for growth of Head Start families so they can identify their own strengths, needs and interests and find their own solutions. Developing a parent and community volunteer program and being the lead on child abuse and neglect issues are also part of this position’s responsibilities. Developing relationships with community partners, to whom families can be referred for services, is also a key function of this position. This position is responsible for ensuring Family and Community Partnership services are supported by staff and/or consultants with training and experience in field(s) related to social, human or family services. Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance (ERSEA) services for the Head Start program. Works to support systems integration of content area specialist leads that support activities and design tools and systems for effective practice, implements a process of ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement for achieving program goals and works to strengthen overall program and quality and service delivery.
The minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably related to one or more of the disciplines the position oversees. One year supervisory/management experience preferred. Two years’ experience in case management preferred.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week; Monday – Friday; 52 Weeks Per Year.
