PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Vice President Marketing & Community Engagement, this position is responsible for guiding and supporting daily and long-term parish, ecumenical and volunteer outreach for the benefit of Catholic Charities. The ideal candidate: builds and develops relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders within the Archdiocese of Denver, its parishes, and surrounding community; guides volunteer management and growth within the agency, while supporting the volunteer capacity through parish and community connections; and is highly active in seeking community support through volunteer engagement, physical resource donations and shared communications.
This position requires someone who is a servant leader, is mission-focused and has a can-do spirit. The most successful candidate will be someone whose initiative is off the charts, has a heart for teamwork and exudes compassion when dealing with our participants, volunteers and staff. The Director, Volunteer and Community Engagement is a front-facing, community-oriented and task-oriented team player who is highly respected by pastors and office staff at Archdiocese of Denver parishes; builds and grows connections in the ecumenical community; organizes and leads drives like the Catholic Charites School Supply Drive and Adopt-A-Family; guides the Volunteer Engagement Specialist and volunteer team; and has great interest in and capacity to take on new challenges and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary: $75,000-$85,000
