Position Summary
Promotes the community support of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families by overseeing state-wide service delivery, through supervision of Associate Directors, Residential Coordinators and other personnel in providing supports necessary to managing the day to day operations of regional services. Ensures that identified outcomes are achieved through effective and timely delivery of services by utilizing data collection, analysis and process implementation. A key element of this position is the responsibility to oversee multiple locations while maintaining the highest standards of quality. In partnership with other leaders in the organization, creates opportunities to demonstrate long lasting, impactful and positive outcomes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervise, support, motivate, and empower the associate directors and management teams who operate each program

Develop innovative, high quality support initiatives in keeping with regulations and guidelines

Work closely with the management team in all aspects of program management, service delivery, program implementation, staffing issues, staff development and community support

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with all local and state regulatory and licensing entities

Ensure that all sites and services at sites are in compliance with contracts, licensing, and reporting requirements, and help develop and monitor measurable outcomes

Lead and make recommendations for ways to improve coordination and integration of programs

Maximize the development and capacity of staff to advance the mission and values of Delta and be an employer of choice

Ensure the full capacity of programmatic resources

Responsible for expansion of services and regional exposure

Monitor the development and implementation of high quality individual support plans

Monitor the quality and quantity of supports provided through direct observation, verbal and written reports and various assessment procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures in order to provide quality services and meet or exceed accreditation standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Monitor compliance with Delta, state and accreditation agency policies and procedures
-
Promote and ensure effective interdepartmental communications and cooperation
-
Participate in budget planning and monitor the expenditure of company funds and funds entrusted to company by individuals

Work closely with Human Resources and training to ensure all requirements are met: hiring, firing, training, career development, succession planning, equal employment opportunity, health and safety, evaluations and performance management for all staff operating each program

Ensure the preventative maintenance and repair of regional properties and equipment with the facilities department

Respond to implementation plans and processes to comply with new regulations or requirements

Lead the development of processes to assure all compliance standards are met

Collaborate on development of marketing plans which may include service improvement in assigned departmental area, service promotion, and audience messaging

Monitor trends and keep current in regulatory requirements and service delivery best practices
-
Cooperate with the Department of Human Services staff in any investigation or inspection.

Cooperate with company and regulatory agencies personnel during any inspection or investigation
-
Represent Delta in professional associations and state agencies as appropriate

Promote and participate in Delta’s Risk Management Program, addressing the health and safety of individuals and employees
- Prepare required reports for the company as well as funding, regulatory and accreditation agencies.

Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times ensuring employees conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner

Promote continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures

Works cooperatively with support functions such as Facilities, Human Resources, IT and Finance to ensure effective delivery of services

Position Qualifications

Master’s Degree in a social service field, management or public administration
-
Eight (8) years of experience in providing community based supports, including and four (4) years in a management capacity. Appropriate additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements.
