We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Counselor to join our Manitowoc School-Based Behavioral Health Team!
Who is LCHC?
LCHC was founded in 2012 and is an independent non-profit organization that maintains 3 clinics located in Sheboygan, Manitowoc, and West Bend. We are a patient-centered medical home (PCMH) that provides preventive medical, behavioral (mental) health care, and dental care. We believe everyone has a right to quality healthcare, regardless of insurance status or income level. No patient will be turned away due to the inability to pay for care.
School-Based Behavioral Health Counselor:
The School-Based Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for identifying, triaging, and managing medically underserved patients within the integrated primary and behavioral health care setting. This position primarily serves patients within the K-12 school setting and counsels students whose behavior, school progress, or mental or physical impairment indicates the need for assistance and expanding access to SUD assessment and treatment. The employee will collaborate with the student's family, school personnel, and medical and behavioral health team in determining the cause of the situation and work toward an effective solution or treatment plan.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
· Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related fields
· Current WI licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist is required.
· 3000 hours post-graduate work experience
· WI Substance Abuse Certification preferred but not required
· Current CPR/Basic Life Support Certification upon hire or willing to obtain & renew as needed.
