Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Community Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Reports to the Vice President, Human Resources Operations. This position is responsible for the strategic leadership of human resource operations for our community hospital entities including Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, St. Joseph Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. The Director of HR Operations partners with senior operational leaders to ensure alignment between human resources and business owners and will collaborate with senior executives to define and execute change initiatives that advance the mission, promote values integration, increase organization effectiveness, and improve results. This role leads a team that includes Strategic HR Business Partners. Relocation Assistance is available to those who qualify. The position is eligible for base compensation management incentive plan.
