Community Health Director is responsible for developing plans for community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Community Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Leads a minimum of 3 activities daily, including fitness and exercise classes.
    • Spends 80% of time engaging residents, 20% with administrative duties.
    • Oversees and directs full activities program to span seven days a week, including nights and weekends.
    • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Plans and implements activities of enough variety and at sufficient frequency, including as necessary to fulfill any state regulations, with activity categories to include but not be limited to physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional.
    • Create personalized Life Skills stations for current residents and ensures stations are maintained, replenished, updated and reset as needed.
    • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are appropriate and relevant to current residents’ needs and abilities.
    • Provide one on one programing for residents who cannot participate in group settings.
    • Coordinates monthly Wellness Seminars for families and outside community members, held on a consistent basis.
    • Trains team members on the importance of Life Enrichment and other areas of quality of life for residents.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
    • A commercial driver’s license may be required for this position; if so, a CDL must be obtained within 60 days of your hire.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Prior experience serving senior citizens; familiarity with laws and regulations applicable to the Community, and Human Resources preferred. MP123

    Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
