    The Kentucky Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign is hiring Field Organizers (FOs) for the 2023 general election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking organizers committed to building a persuasion and turnout operation that will power Democrats to victory up and down the ballot in 2023, including reelecting Governor Andy Beshear. Field Organizers are responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and engaging in direct voter contact. The chosen candidates will be responsible for meeting goals and delivering the margin of victory in their region and will directly report to their Regional
    Field Director.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly canvassing and call goals are met and exceeded;
    • Identifying, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to motivate and mobilize voters in key regions including canvassing door to door and phone banking;
    • Detailed regular reporting of daily activities and program results;
    • Representing the Kentucky Democratic Party and the campaign at community events and meetings, as needed;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds;
    • Must be able to work independently and in team settings;
    • Must be able to work long and irregular hours as needed including weekends;
    • Creative thinking and a “can-do” attitude for problem-solving;
    • Ability to adapt and remain flexible with work assignments that may change with short notice;
    • Previous community ties to your assigned region preferred;
    • Previous experience in electoral or issue campaigns in organizing is preferred, but not required;
    • Ability and willingness to engage in light physical activity including regular canvassing, and at times lifting/carrying boxes of literature and campaign materials, including up and down stairs when needed;
    • Applicants must have a laptop as well as a valid driver’s license and reliable access to transportation;

    As a condition of employment, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

    This position is paid an hourly rate equivalent to a monthly salary of $4,062.50 per month, with 100% employer-paid health insurance. This position is full time through the 2023 General Election. This is an in-person position and will require relocation to an assigned region within Kentucky.
