Organizes community members to work toward a common goal supported by staff and volunteer workers. Additionally, Community Organizer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Organizer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     What you’ll be working on:

    • Recruiting and supporting girls and adult volunteers to form community-based troops.
    • Coordinating and coaching troop volunteers to support the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
    • Delivering high-quality Girl Scout experiences to girls
    • Developing relationships within the community, and attending community events on behalf of Girl Scouts

    What you’ll need:

    • High school diploma and work experience in related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Experience working with youth
    • Experience working with local school systems and community organizations, desirable.  
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Evening and Weekend availability required
