The League of Women Voters Worcester Area is seeking a Community Organizer to coordinate and facilitate community participation in a community survey and listening sessions to determine barriers to voting in local elections. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and drive meaningful change.
Under the supervision and with the support of the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will coordinate the distribution of a survey with community partners, as well as schedule and facilitate group listening sessions. Additional outreach through social media, email, and direct contact may be required. The successful candidate will have ties to the Worcester community, excellent people skills, be organized, and have a flexible schedule to meet in person and online as a representative of the League of Women Voters of the Worcester Area.
This position is for 10 hours per week at $20/hour. Start date begins in June of 2024 through mid-August 2024, with a possibility for renewal. Work will be completed independently and is hybrid, requiring in-person presence for community events and meetings necessary to complete the overarching project goal.
