Job description
This position will provide engagement, education, and support to youth.
Develop, plan, and promote educational programming, activities, and events that will align with the overall well being of youth in the school system, afterschool, and summer programs.
1. A primary focus is educating youth in different prevention / life skills curriculum-based topics in a classroom setting.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities contained within this job description are working with schools and community partners to develop classes to educate youth in different prevention and life skills.
Program Implementation
· Working with schools and other community partners to develop, coordinate, promote educational classes and to enhance knowledge in our youth.
· Assist with documentation collection and processing.
· Support initiative activities for monitoring the program effectiveness.
Community Outreach
· Develop and maintain programming to engage children and youth.
· Continue to collaborate and build community support.
· Refer children and youth for participation in suitable activities based on the client’s needs.
· Maintain cooperative working relationships with educational community.
· Advocate for children and youth and work with community/support service agencies to overcome access barriers.
· Maintain contact with children and youth to identify additional needs or barriers to service access; to provide support and encouragement; and to monitor participant’s progress in reaching their goals.
Minimum Qualifications
· · Ability to effectively speak in small or large-group settings.
· Experience providing referral, advocacy, and case management services.
· Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
· Clear driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
· BA Preferred or equivalent work experience.
· Computer skills required.
· Ability to communicate in writing and verbally by writing reports and business correspondence, speaking effectively before individuals and public groups.
· Ability to interview; conduct community outreach or education in community-based organizations; and communicate effectively with diverse populations, including school personnel, service providers, law enforcement, and parents of participants.
· Ability to utilize time management techniques to organize and prioritize work.
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to programming changes.
Other Requirements
· Must pass an OSBI Criminal Background Check
· Must pass a drug test.
· Maintain client confidentiality.
· Provide age and culturally competent services.
· Be available at short notice.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Work evening and other nontraditional work hours as needed.
