COMMUNITY OUTREACH SPECIALIST jobs in Lawrence, MA

Location : Lawrence, MA - Peer Recovery Program

Schedule : Part-Time, 30 hours a week. Varying days roughly in 5 hour shifts. Must be available to work every Sunday Pay rate : $17.00-$18.00 / hour Benefits :

Qualifications :

• One year of experience in a substance abuse program
• Bilingual - Spanish / English preferred
• Must have a reliable vehicle / driver's license to travel throughout Lawrence community
• Strongly connected with the Lawrence, MA community
• Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
• Must have valid drivers license and dependable transportation.

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for :

• Educating the public about the Recovery Center
• Recruiting participants
• Networking with community-based organizations in collaboration with peer volunteers.
