Join an organization which has been providing quality education services through the Head Start program for over 55 years. The Program Support Outreach Specialist works with management and staff, as well as outside agencies, to provide outreach and coordinate the integration of service components within the Early Childhood Education department.
Responsibilities include:
· Greets customers and visitors, mainly through incoming phone calls, by answering general questions or directing them to the appropriate ACAP program, and help facilitate the enrollment of customers into ECE programs
· Perform a variety of program administration tasks such as copying, faxing, processing mail, data entry, meeting preparation, and updating/maintaining databases
· Represent ACAP at events, promoting our program and services, distribute our outreach materials, and assist with the coordination and planning of various outreach events
· Research, provide outreach to, and maintain effective working relationships with ACAP partners and local service providers helping facilitate services for families
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field with at least two (2) year of experience a related field. A High School diploma and four (4) years of experience may be used in place of an associate’s degree. Experience in a human services or community-based organization is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills. Solid PC skills including database entry, word processing, and spreadsheet skills are required. Bilingual or multilingual abilities a plus. A valid driver’s license with a means for transportation may be required.
