Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Required Qualifications:
    High school diploma
    Keyboarding skills
    Successful completion of or willingness to successfully complete training in dealing with behavioral

    interactions with students
    Successful completion of or willingness to successfully complete training in instructional support
    Physical and emotional stamina to meet daily student care needs

    Desirable Qualifications
    Post high school coursework
    Experience working with children

    Basic Function: This person will be working with students, teachers and other building staff members to
    assist in the delivery of the educational program.

    The paraprofessional hired must be able to:
    Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace and in the community
    Communicate clearly and appropriately with students and staff
    Work effectively and cooperatively with others
    Follow directions of supervising teacher and building administrator(s)
    Exercise maturity and sound judgment in making decisions
    Maintain accurate records
    Assist teacher in computer entry of data and the application of technology
    Maintain effective discipline based on the policies and guidelines of the District
    Provide input and feedback to supervising teacher as requested
    Support guided practice or monitor educational program as directed
    Assist with accommodations for students with special needs
    Maintain confidentiality
    Demonstrate a willingness to participate in staff development
    Meet the daily care student needs, including, but not limited to lifting, repositioning, diapering,

    toileting, restraining, etc.
    Possession of a valid driver’s license. May be required to transport students in personal vehicle.
    Communicate with parent when appropriate

    Supervise children on the playground and in the lunchroom
    Perform other duties as assigned

    Other Requirements:
    Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
    Ability to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs
    Perform other duties as assigned
    Model to students and peers a commitment to appropriate public behavior toward all students,

    workplace, colleagues and the public
    Experience and/or desire working with diverse groups of students
