Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Community Resource and Relations Manager

  • Basic Function: Under the supervision of the Pathways to Success Program Manager of Ada S. McKinley, The Community Resource and Relations Manager is responsible for identifying and collaborating with existing local community networks throughout the CCSO’s DSAs and in surrounding DSAs.

    Reports To: Clinical Program Manager

    Supervisees: N/A


    Principal Duties/Responsibilities

    Pathways Collaboration

    • Support care coordinators and ensure that they understand how to access community networks and resources, as well as add information about community networks to the CCSO Community Resource Directory.
    • Connect with each of the networks to gain understanding of the services and/or supports that the networks provide, individuals typically served and any requirements that must be met to receive services and/or supports from the networks.
    • Attend network meetings and events, as needed, to ensure that all network participants are aware of the services provided by the CCSO.
    • Interact with referral sources/other partners to develop connections among community options and the CCSO for enrolled youth.
    • Identify community options for wraparound staff to support the implementation of the plan of care for each enrolled youth.
    • Assist community networks and resources in providing a welcoming atmosphere for families involved in wraparound.
    • Facilitate quarterly meetings with all identified service providers and networks that are willing to participate to discuss existing services and/or supports and areas for improvement in service availability.
    • Individual consultations with staff as needed.
    • Facilitate monthly meetings with staff.

    Reporting and Data Entry

    • Submit a report detailing the strengths and areas for improvement discussed in the quarterly meetings bi-annually to HFS.
    • Complete and update the HFS Community Network Assessment spreadsheet weekly.
    • Manage and update the CCSO Community Resource directory weekly and ensure that the information regarding the networks is included in the CCSO Community Resource Directory.
    • Complete mental health assessments and treatment plans for CCSO enrolled youth.

    Trauma Informed Center of Care/Community Relations Management

    • Seek out and create community-based partnerships.
    • Support staff in accessing a network of resources.
    • Promote a positive connection between the stakeholders and providers.
    • Engage and participate in community resource and networking events.
    • Conduct individual consultations with staff as needed when attempting to identify resources for person served.
    • Facilitate monthly meetings with Case Management Staff.
    • Manage accessibility of resource spreadsheet to ensure access for all BHCS.

    Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, education or related human service field.
    • Two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting required.
    • The use of a personal auto, valid driver’s license and motor vehicle report acceptable to the Agency’s insurance broker as well as maintaining verification of auto insurance coverage.
    • A clear criminal background checks as applicable

    • This position requires the individual demonstrate the experiences, beliefs, attitude and awareness that indicate cultural sensitivity to the client population served.
    • This position requires the individual possess the ability to partner with clients individually and/or in family to help them mobilize resources and build resilience.
    • This position requires the individual possess the ability to coordinate effectively with other team members, other Agency resources and outside services in addressing client needs.
    • This position requires the individual possess an understanding of evidence-informed practices, engagement strategies, boundary setting, concurrent documentation, working in a community setting, organizing, motivational interviewing, and family systems.
    • Must be familiar with the operation of but not limited to desktop computer systems, cell phone, laptop, notebook, netbook, and tablet type devices knowledge of community resources and ability to use a variety of applications on a computer.
    • Staff are expected to have the ability to work remotely from home if necessary, and with Supervisory approval. Safety Protocols while at the office and within the community are to be strictly adhered.

    Mental/Physical Demands:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Work requires prolonged concentration using a computer in analyzing and manipulating data. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Environmental Conditions: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Duties are performed in a typical office environment. No unusual or adverse working conditions exist.
